As Long As Those 2 People Are

    1. I worked at the neighbors farm from the time I was 7 or 8, working in chicken houses and hay. As I got older, I graduated to working in the tobacco, corn, and watermelons. I thought I was something when I was put in the dairy milking. It only takes getting kicked in the nads one time to realize that milking cows can be dangerous. I started milking in the dairy around 1973 and I was paid fairly well I guess. I made $30 a day but that involved milking 150 cows twice a day with one other person helping. If I did other stuff during the rest of the day, my pay would reflect it. The brother that owned the farm were really good to me.

    2. The cousin's farm I worked on had only two milking cows, a Guernsey and a Jersey and both were sweethearts, I normally didn't milk, the daughter or mother did unless they had an appointment or were off at a horse function, so it wasn't too bad...

    3. We milked Holstein-Friesians. They aren't nearly as calm and peaceful as Guernsey's or Jersey's. They aren't crazy but they aren't "sweethearts" except for a few exceptions. When I got married, my wife, who had never had any pets besides cats and never lived in the country, had to have a couple of pigs, miniature goats, a couple of small donkeys and a pair of Jersey calves. They all turned out to be spoilt rotten pets.
