DeleteAs a God fearing Catholic for almost 60 years who believes that Jesus died on the cross for all of us, we most certainly are Christians and if you want to go to the mat on where the Catholic church started, where it's been, and what it stands for today, I'd be happy to educate you. I do enjoy your blog but if it is going to turn into Catholic hating, I'm out. I'm also in the Pope Francis on the other hand camp but not sure he will be around much longer so hopefully the next guy doesn't burden us with the liberal progressive crap. If you want a good Catholic education, I am partial to Ann Barnhardt at barnhardt.biz She is also in the Pope Francis on the other hand camp. Carry on.
ReplyDeleteI DO NOT intend this to ever being a Catholic hating site. I don't hate Catholics. Catholics do worship things that I am told not to worship such as the Virgin Mary. I don't intend to go on the mat because I don't plan on getting that deep into Christian/Catholic politics on the internet. I will not stand for a condescending stance from anyone though, so do as you want as far as visiting or not. I am NOT partial to Ann Barnhardt, as she is in the Virgin Mary worshiping camp. We have opinions which will require us to agree to disagree or part ways. You are the one that has to make that decision.
DeleteGood to hear. We have enough haters lol. As far as worshipping Virgin Mary, it's not so and has never been so. It is a misunderstanding I hear a lot though. My ex sister in law is a protestant and we used to argue a lot. What is true is we ask the Virgin Mary to intercede on our behalf. Definitely not worship. Like I said, I've been a Catholic my whole life and have yet to worship the Virgin Mary. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the time of our death - Amen. BTW, what evidence can you present that Barnhardt worships the Virgin Mary?
DeleteWell, what I consider worship, you would also have issues with when it pertains to the Virgin Mary. Mary can't answer prayers. She was/is a human. A human chosen by God to bring the Holy child Jesus into the world. She has never been perfect, she's human, a special woman/human, goes without saying. Barnhardt says her, Mary's, sins past and future were erased by a few words that she interprets wrong.
