My wife's appointment was at 7. It's a 2 hour ride. They didn't get her in until 8:30. They started the procedure and after inserting the catheter and checking things out they decided that she didn't need a stint. Great. So we could have done this 30 minutes from the house at 8 instead of driving 2 hours to get to a needless appointment at 7. The worst part of the procedure was they went in through her right arm and now her arm is so sore that she can barely use it. They told her to just be careful and not do anything extra with her right arm. NO SHIT.
I'm upset about the whole thing EXCEPT for the fact that the doctor, who we haven't seen before, who seemed to know what he was talking about, told us there was no reason to put a stint in a good artery and he thought someone had read the scans wrong. He seemed apologetic and I couldn't be mad at him. I am mad that my wife went through that for nothing, except for the assurances that someone screwed up and her artery was fine.
So they wouldn't let her leave for another 2 hours after they finished the procedure and then there was the ride home on the Interstate on a Friday.
DAMN, I'm glad to be HOME. We're both worn out.
Welcome Karl to socialized medicine, oh yeah, we have it. Just old normal medicine hasn't realized it is dead and hasn't keeled over. They do not train new doctors to think, look outside the box or advocate for their patients. You can blame Rockefeller and insurance companies, medical associations and medical/government licensing agencies and lastly leftist progressive medical professors and instructors. Become a nurse, learn quite shockingly it is a scam and grifting operation.
ReplyDeleteWell, after the long ordeal the wife has been through, I've about had ENOUGH. Both of the medical diagnoses which sometimes seems to be a little bit of experimentation and the thought that I'm funding someone's Porsche and not even getting to sit in it. I'm sure I have no idea of the depth of the grift.
