USPS Announces Release Date Of Betty White Stamp

Beloved TV icon Betty White will soon be featured on a Forever stamp, per an announcement from the United States Postal Service.
The late star of “The Golden Girls” and “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” will be recognized to “commemorate” her “warmth, wit and charisma.”

The stamp will be released on March 27 in Los Angeles in a ceremony at the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens.
“This collectible Forever stamp honors beloved American actress and comedienne Betty White (1922-2021), whose impish smile is depicted on the stamp and lit up performances in a career that spanned more than 60 years,” USPS said. “Often referred to as the ‘First Lady of Television,’ White was honored with five Primetime Emmy Awards for her work in television, as well as three Screen Actors Guild Awards, a Grammy Award and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She was also much recognized for her animal welfare work.”
White passed away on December 31, 2021, just a few weeks shy of her one-hundredth birthday.
White began her entertainment career in the late 1930s, meaning she had the longest television run of any entertainer in history. She is best known for her scene-stealing roles in two pioneering sitcoms — as the promiscuous cooking show host Sue Ann Nivens on ‘The Mary Tyler Moore Show’ in the 1970s and sweet-natured simpleton Rose Nylund on ‘The Golden Girls’ in the 80s.”

Betty White had so many hilarious moments that it's impossible to pick that one that is the best but one of those in my top 2 or 3 is her advice, as Sue Ann Nivens, The Happy Homemaker on the Mary Tyler Moore Show.
“And so, until tomorrow, this is your Happy Homemaker reminding you that a woman who does a good job in the kitchen is sure to reap her reward in other parts of the house.”

(I searched for quite a while to find a clip on YouTube but I never found the one of this scene.)

  1. What the accolades don't say about Betty White, she was horny old broad that was a purveyor of dirty one line quips and bawdy jokes and was sly and very clever. She was not a ditzy blond likes she displayed...

    1. She was a very smart woman and with that, she could portray almost any character she wanted and much better than most actor/actresses. I enjoyed her in almost everything she was in that I was aware of.
