Madison, Jefferson, and the rest of the Founding Fathers didn’t just "overthrow" a government, they built a new one, based on freedom, limited government, and the Constitution. Thomas Jefferson along with 55 other men committed treason by signing the Declaration of Independence from the British Government. (Madison was deeply involved in Virginia politics at the time of the Second Continental Congress and did not rise to national prominence until he was a delegate in the Congress of the Confederation.) If they were alive today, they’d be leading the charge against the corrupt, bloated, power-hungry system you defend.
