The incoming Trump administration is still staffing up key roles, replacing the Biden appointees with people who actually know what they're doing. In this process, President-elect Trump is also bringing some justice to some people who were unfairly separated from the Armed Services. People like former Space Force Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Matthew Lohmeier, who was discharged after criticizing the Space Force's "Diversity, Equity & Inclusion" (DEI) bullshit.
In May 2021 he was relieved of command of the 11th Space Warning Squadron at Buckley Air Force Base following the release of his self-published book that argued that Marxist ideologies were infiltrating the armed forces through diversity and inclusion training programs. His removal from command was due to what the Space Force characterized as “a loss of confidence” in his ability to lead.
LTC Lohmeier will be serving the Trump administration as Under-secretary of the Air Force.
