Although I get a kick out of posting Christmas memes and cartoons … I have to say that the scientific proof disproves any connection between the birth of Jesus and the December celebration of Christmas. (But like I said, that doesn't stop me from posting copious amounts of Christmas memes and cartoons because ... people look at you strange if you post them in September, lol.)
I don’t celebrate Christmas in December but before anyone rebukes me … that doesn’t mean I’m telling anyone what they can or should do. I do me, you do you.
The preponderance of biblical and scientific evidence tells us that Jesus wasn’t born on December 25th, not even in the month of December. Research of the Bible has shown that the stars prove that it was September the 11th, 3 BC that was the birth date of Jesus. More and more Biblical scholars have done elaborate studies of the movement and placement of the stars and the Biblical records and the only date that works is September 11th. The Bible also makes specific mentions regarding the conception of John the Baptist and that date has a direct relation to the date of the birth of Jesus in the months of September or October.
The days immediately preceding December 25 were when the Romans celebrated Saturnalia, a festival for the Roman titan Saturn. Many believe that December 25 was selected as the day of Jesus’ birth so that Christmas would replace Saturnalia. Some Christmas traditions are at least similar to aspects of the ancient Saturnalia celebration.
I’m not condemning anyone who celebrates Christmas on December 25th but don’t let it cloud your ability to make informed decisions and to know the truth.
And celebrating or not celebrating Christmas on the 25th doesn’t make you ignorant or evil. It’s just very enlightening to know what the Bible says and be able to justify your actions and beliefs.
About 10-15 years ago I came across an article and then I bought the documentary that explains the main reason that I came to the truth. You can read about the date of Jesus’s birth in many articles online these days because more and more churches and scholars are putting it out there now.
If you want to check out where I first started my journey to the Biblical truth of Jesus’s birth, go to:
The Star Of Bethlehem
https://bethlehemstar.com/
IT'S AN ASTRONOMICAL MYSTERY. A strange star is claimed to have appeared at the birth of Jesus of Nazareth. This site is an investigation of the story found in the Biblical Gospel of Matthew, a story often called the 'Star of Bethlehem.' It brings the words of Roman and Jewish historians alongside the visions of ancient prophets. It mixes "modern" mathematicians with murderous turmoil in the Roman imperial court. It combines all these with astronomical facts which no one disputes. And it concludes that the star was a real event. Come solve this age-old mystery for yourself ...
I recommend that you purchase the DVD as it makes the learning experience even clearer. A lot of information for $15.00. Full disclosure. I have not been given any compensation whatsoever for the endorsement of this product. I only share this information in the hopes that it may enlighten at least one person.
