A person of interest has been taken into custody for the Midtown Manhattan murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson outside the Hilton Hotel following a five-day manhunt, police said Monday.
The man was nabbed in Altoona, Penn., carrying a gun that appears to match the murder weapon seen in security video of the shooting, police sources said. A tip from a civilian who spotted the man lead cops to take him into custody, sources said.

  1. It’s going to take the NY DA and the US Attorney a while to coordinate and organize all the charges.the only t piece of the puzzle that is missing is how this guy knew that the CEO was not staying at the Hilton, but rather another hotel, and that he would be walking that route to go to his conference.

    1. I don't know the details so I'm not really qualified to state anything definitively, but from what I've read since I read your comment was that that wasn't Thompson's first night in Manhattan so the Hotel where he was staying may have been easy to find out as that information is not usually considered secret and the route from the hotel to the conference center would be easy to figure out but not necessary because he watched Thompson leave the hotel and just followed him a very short distance before shooting him.
