I Can’t NOT Say Something …

This is a Blue-footed Booby. 

The Blue-footed boobies official name is Sula nebouxii. The booby takes its moniker from the Spanish word “bobo,” which translates as stupid or half-witted. It comes from the birds’ habit of landing on board sailing ships, where they were easily caught and eaten.

Ordinarily I wouldn’t mention these birds, they don’t do anything spectacular like dive bomb other birds, killing them viciously with a mortal strike, they don’t dive into streams, rivers, and lakes and catch fish almost their size, they don’t swallow animal bone pieces and digest them with one of the strongest stomach acids in the animal world, etc. … But they’re BOOBIES ! AND BOOBIES comes from a word that means half-wit … rofl. (IT'S A DAMN JOKE, PEOPLE!!)
