On October 31, 1962 - The "Monster Mash" rules the airwaves, becoming the most popular Halloween song of all time.
I don’t do Halloween, haven’t ever celebrated it as an adult. My parents, being very devout Christians never celebrated it when my brothers and I were young. They didn’t bad mouth it, they just never promoted it and allowed us to make our own choices. I’ve almost always lived far enough out of city limits to avoid the trick-or-treaters. My wife always picks up bags of both of our favorite candies … in the hopes that we won’t have visitors, lol.
It seems that these days, in the sake of safety, some parents have Halloween on the weekend before because of school nights running late and they do it in parking lots during the daytime. Seems like a good move but you lose a lot of the ‘spooky’ effects.
So, anyway, I do enjoy a few Halloween memes and I guess I’m gonna get it over with now and have that done …
