Flashback: Shepard Smith informs us that everyone you know is dead if you don’t listen to the experts. Oh yeah, he smiles as he tells you that your kids die too if you don’t evacuate Florida during Hurricane Matthew.
Matthew hit Florida in October of 2016.
Statistics from Hurricane Matthew, twelve deaths occurred in Florida, including five that resulted from injuries during pre-storm preparation or post-storm cleanup (e.g., a fall from a ladder or roof). A child's death in Florida resulted from carbon monoxide poisoning related to indoor generator use. CDC.
So I guess EVERYONE evacuated Florida except for those 7 people. (It's cold sarcasm, I know, but I was wondering if I would ever get a chance to dog Shepard Smith again for his asinine doomsday rant.)
