Israeli ground forces targeted Iranian missile production facility in Syria.

Israel, who is known to blow up Iranian facilities in Syria by air, has apparently conducted a ground raid of an Iranian missile facility in Syria before blowing it to smithereens with planted explosives.
Open Source Intel has been reporting on this all morning and here’s what they’ve found from Syrian TV which is located in Turkey:

“Media outlets are reporting that Israeli forces landed in Syria during the recent wave of attacks on Masyaf.
Syrian TV, a media outlet broadcasting from Turkey claim that Israeli commandos were deployed during the strikes to gather intelligence and clashed with Syrian forces, even capturing Iranian agents.
The report states that the attack, which consisted of five waves over several hours, saw Israeli helicopters inserting commandos under heavy air cover. These special forces allegedly engaged in a brief but intense firefight with Syrian troops on the ground.
In addition, Israeli aircraft reportedly carried out aerial strikes to block off all roads leading to the site.
Reports suggest that the commandos successfully extracted two Iranians from the area, although it’s unclear whether they were taken willingly or by force.
The possibility of Israeli troops landing to gather samples or evidence from the area is not something new, given past instances where Israel retrieved critical physical evidence from Syrian territory through such operations.”

OSI adds “Israeli ground forces targeted an Iranian missile production facility in Syria. IDF Special forces infiltrated the site, extracted critical equipment and documents, planted explosives, and demolished the facility, all while retreating under the protection of air support.”

Israel is literally fighting this war against the terrorist country of Iran on several fronts and this is just another. I would imagine that this operation will make Iran exceedingly angry and it may cause them to finally attack Israel directly again, as they’ve been threatening since Israel assassinated the political head of Hamas while he was in their country.
