Netanyahu: “This war will continue for many more months”
Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu gave a news conference today on the war in Gaza, thanking the US for sending more armaments to aid them in their war against Hamas.
In that statement Netanyahu made clear that the “war will continue for many more months”, saying it won’t end until all of their objectives have been met.
Here’s a synopsis of the speech:
“The war is in full swing. We are fighting on all fronts. We have had great successes but also had painful prices.
Achieving victory requires more time. The war will continue for many more months.
My policy is clear: continue to fight until all the war objectives are completed.
More time is needed for the war to ensure the achievement of our goals
Our forces are fighting powerfully and with new methods above and below the ground – it’s a complex fight, but we have the upper hand.
We have eliminated more than 8,000 terrorists so far. I face international pressure as we continue to achieve our goals in Gaza
Our goal is to restore security to the northern and southern fronts and return residents to their homes.
I appreciate the American position in providing more weapons to Israel and the Security Council.
If Hezbollah expands the war, it will receive blows it cannot imagine.
We work against Iran all the time and in every place, and everyone knows that the threat from Tehran will increase if it obtains a nuclear weapon.”
