I still have two of these mugs that I bought years ago. I prefer A&W root beer over any other brand. We had an A&W drive-up with car hops in the town where I grew up in and it was the hang out on Friday and Saturday nights. I have fond memories of that place.

This is a picture of my home town A&W in 1958. A few years after this picture was taken, a metal roof covering was added to the front and there were parking spots for approximately 30 cars under the roof.
