Woman chained to the floor of a Louisville, Kentucky home like a dog is freed by axe-wielding cops. (Video)

A woman who was chained to the floor of a Kentucky home like a dog was eventually set free by police after two days - and chilling footage shows the moment police saved the victim.
Neighbors reported the distressed screams of the victim on August 16 and Louisville Metro police officers were forced to climb through the second-floor window of the Kentucky property to help the woman being held captive.
Officers used a hatchet they found to break the chain free from the floor and helped her outside before she was treated by emergency services.

Moises May, 36, was arrested two days after the woman, who he shares a child with, was rescued. He was charged with kidnapping, intimidating a participant in the legal process, wanton endangerment, assault, terroristic threatening and harassment.
Officers tried to break into the building by kicking down the doors and windows but the home was completely barricaded, the Louisville Metro Police Department stated.
The unidentified woman managed to break through the window of the second-floor room she was being held in.
A neighbor shouted: 'I got a ladder' and footage shows the officer climbing up towards the room.
He climbs over broken glass and enters the filthy bedroom before grabbing the chain from the woman's neck. He tries to calm her down.
'The woman had a chain around her neck, which was secured by a MasterLock, and that chain was bolted to the floor with screws,' police said.
She is heard crying in the video and apologizes to the police officer and tells him the man who locked her up kept the key on his keychain.
Two officers used a hatchet they found in the home to break the chain free from the floor.
The woman was in shock and continued to shake and cry as bolt cutters were used by firefighters to remove the locked chain from her neck.
She was helped outside and treated by emergency services.
May was later arrested after the woman was rescued. He allegedly trapped her inside the house after an argument became physical.
He restrained her in the bathroom and cut off most of her hair with a machete, according to an arrest report obtained by WAVE 3.
She left the same night and returned the next day to collect her stuff, which is when he locked her in the room.
'You’re gonna get it tonight. I told you the next time you leave and don’t come home, I’d kill you,' May is accused of telling her.
He allegedly forced her to take off some clothes and slapped her. He is said to have stormed out of the home after chaining her to the ground and taking her cell phone so she couldn't call for help.
