Florida GOP Chairman, Christian Ziegler, hilariously offers to help NAACP boss move after issuing state travel advisory.
The NAACP’s latest political stunt in service to the Democratic Party was to target Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), but the organization didn’t put a lot of thought into its chosen line of attack and was left with serious egg on its face.
In an attempt to gin up racial enmity toward America’s Governor, the NAACP issued a travel advisory that claimed Florida “is openly hostile toward African Americans.”
“Florida is openly hostile toward African Americans, people of color and LGBTQ+ individuals. Before traveling to Florida, please understand that the state of Florida devalues and marginalizes the contributions of, and the challenges faced by African Americans and other communities of color,” a release from the civil rights organization declared.
The problem here is that the NAACP underestimated Team DeSantis, which quickly countered to share an April 2021 photo of the board’s vice chair, Karen Boykin-Towns “chillin’ in Clearwater, FL.” But it gets even better, because the chairman of the Board of Directors of the NAACP, Leon Russell, LIVES in Florida, he is a resident of Tampa.
And on that note, Christian Ziegler, Chairman of the Florida Republican Party, offered to do Russell a solid. Since Russell supposedly lives in such a bad place, Ziegler hilariously offered to help him move!
“True leadership is being willing to do what you ask others to do… time to step up and MOVE. If you think our state is so bad, the @FloridaGOP will help with moving costs,” Ziegler tweeted.
