Damn. My injury wasn't nearly that bad and I almost went off. I'm surprised your guy didn't rip somebody's head off. Those damn things can do more damage than even I thought and I've seen a few times people that got cut.
I *did* get cut, about an inch. The fool issuing the shot pulled away and THEN pulled the trigger. All I could do as a Airman Basic was scream at him, to which he said, "You jumped", My ass I jumped, I knew better !
It was a high efficiency system if you ignored the injuries and potential for cross contamination. Of course the brass were only concerned with meeting production levels who cared about the downstream effects as long as they got their promotions. Even after these guns were ordered removed from use the brass would break them out for mass mobilizations. You just can’t despise those bastards enough
When I was at Ft. Campbell we were getting ready, the whole battalion, to PCS to Panama, they carried every one of us to the gym and had assembly line vaccinations. There was actually blood on the floor at a few of the stations. That'll make a mf'er twitch, right. But it wasn't nearly as bad as the vaccination for the plague we got when we went to the Sinai. It wouldn't go through the guns, it was too thick. It looked like molasses to me. They gave us half in one butt cheek and half in the other. That stuff went in slow and it made your cheeks so sore they had to give everyone the rest of the day off. Well, you know how the Army gives you the day off. You couldn't leave or anything, we just were kind of told to hang out in the company areas until quitting time.
Graduation day at parris island. Families in the stands and they march to bunch of us to sick bay and everyone gets the full shot regimen. The navy lost the shot records. The guys who couldn’t handle the gama globulin were passed out in the barracks. Families were told nothing. EVERY unit I was assigned to gave me the full shot package as the navy lost my records EVERY single time. I have no doubt some portion of my medical issues today are the result of these shots
Damn, you should tell that story to the kids on Halloween ... freakin' horror story. Seriously, I can take shots without freaking out, but EVERY SINGLE DAMN PCS !!
I hate it for all those military brothers and sisters who were 'forced' to take the 'clot shot' or get kicked out. I'm glad Trump is offering all those who refused a way back in with retroactive pay.
I remember a new Army recruit in front of me flinched when one of those went off at in-processing and sliced open his arm for about 4 inches...

DeleteBeing the recruit, it was your fault before it even happened, lol.
